Stocked with Kindness

LINKup Employee Resource Group committee members, along with a few additional volunteers, recently spent the day at the Pittsburgh Food Bank in Duquesne, PA.

The Pittsburgh Food Bank’s grocery-style market features a variety of fresh produce, meats, shelf-stable foods, and more. Volunteers spent the afternoon stocking shelves, cleaning, and organizing the space in preparation for customers. They also guided customers through the market as “shopping buddies,” helping them choose items and bagging them. Many of the customers enjoyed the conversation and the company while shopping.
