We believe it’s a critical component of our social license to operate and our facilities regularly partner with local nonprofit organizations that align with our values. And because there's no one way to make a difference, our past efforts have included everything from planting trees and cleaning rivers to mentoring children and repairing homes.

Community Advisory Panels
Many of our facilities have a Community Advisory Panel (CAP), which serves as the first point of contact for community members to meet with facility managers and other Koppers representatives.
A unique and diverse reflection of the communities we serve, CAPs consist of local community members representing an accurate cross-section of local interests. This proactive and transparent engagement in the places we work helps build strong partnerships that support the growth and development of our local communities and Koppers.
University Research and Capstone Projects
Koppers is committed to supporting the academic community through sponsored projects and research. Koppers regularly sponsors university capstone projects on various topics that align with our business.
