Koppers Utility & Industrial Products Steps Up During Major Weather Events

Koppers Utility & Industrial Products (UIP) Plant in Eutawville, South Carolina, recently experienced extreme conditions.

The Eutawville plant continued to operate despite 8+ inches of rain as the Hurricane Idalia tapered into a tropical storm. Koppers also had several trucks navigating the plant’s entrance to handle 200+ loads of poles! 🚚

Overall, the storm response for customer needs during Hurricane Idalia initiated the shipment of about 3,000 poles, mainly to Florida and Georgia. The crew will continue to stay active as storm season picks up in the coming months. ⚠️
