As modern masters of global infrastructure and seasoned industry advisors, our commitment to people, planet, and performance is the foundation for all we put forth.
We are what the world is made of—we use renewable and repurposed raw materials to protect and extend the life of global infrastructure, for a more sustainable world.
Our services support critical infrastructure industries around the world. As trusted advisors with decades of proven success, we've seen it all, done it all, and are ready for whatever comes next.
Protecting what matters while preserving the future—guided by this purpose, the Koppers sustainability strategy focuses on three key pillars of people, planet, and performance.
Our Hubbell, Michigan, facility was a recipient of the "Recycler of the Year” award from the Copper Country Recycling Initiative (CCRI) organization for their e-waste recycling event on Earth Day. During the event, the team partnered up with its State Environmental, Great Lakes and Energy division to collect e-waste and single stream recyclables to ensure that the items were being disposed of properly. In total, the team has collected more than 80,000 lbs. of material for recycling.
Cody Woodbury, Process Engineer, accepted the award for Hubbell as he was a huge help for the various people and organizations involved in the event. He was supported at the ceremony by Monica Woodbury, Andy Bourdeau, Koppers Quality Control Manager, and Kristy Laitinen, Hubbell Plant Manager.
The award recognizes Koppers culture and commitment to Sustainability and our environment. Way to go, Hubbell - we are so proud!
