As modern masters of global infrastructure and seasoned industry advisors, our commitment to people, planet, and performance is the foundation for all we put forth.
We are what the world is made of—we use renewable and repurposed raw materials to protect and extend the life of global infrastructure, for a more sustainable world.
Our services support critical infrastructure industries around the world. As trusted advisors with decades of proven success, we've seen it all, done it all, and are ready for whatever comes next.
Protecting what matters while preserving the future—guided by this purpose, the Koppers sustainability strategy focuses on three key pillars of people, planet, and performance.
We were thrilled to welcome our 2025 interns to Koppers this summer. Here’s a look at their experience.

Communications- Supported internal and external campaigns, collaborated with agency partners, and grew both storytelling and technical skills.
Accounting- Streamlined month-end processes and traveled to the Susquehanna facility for an inventory audit, gaining valuable insight into capital project workflows.
Chemical Engineering- Traveled to the Roanoke Plant for a value chain analysis and improved processes by leading daily check-ins and tracking project progress.
Business Analytics- Visited the North Little Rock plant to observe real-time operations, and gain insights into day-to-day processes while strengthening data analysis and problem-solving skills
Information Technology- Used AI to analyze injury reports, find patterns across teams, and create clear visuals that helped reduce common incidents.
Engineering- Helped reduce overtreatment rates of railroad ties during a visit to our North Little Rock plant, building skills in data analysis and process improvement.
Our interns proved that curiosity and a willingness to learn can open doors to unexpected growth and opportunity. Alongside their work, they enjoyed opportunities to connect, from a trip to our Harmarville facility to lunch with the CEO, and even a Pirates game.
Thank you to our interns for your hard work and dedication. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
