From Classroom to Career: Rock Hill Engages with Students

Employees from Koppers Rock Hill facility recently partnered with Sunset Park Center for Accelerated Studies to support two educational events focused on learning, career exploration, and community engagement.

The school’s One Book One School celebration brought students from pre-K through fifth grade together to read The Lemonade War, a story centered on entrepreneurship, communication, and teamwork. Koppers team members visited classrooms as guest readers, engaging with students and helping bring the book’s themes to life.

Koppers employees also participated in Sunset Park’s Career Day, where Laboratory Technician, Kim Brice and Supply Chain Manager, Eria Young spoke with students about careers in science, laboratory operations, and manufacturing.
