About Us
The Somerville, Texas, facility operates three Koppers business units: Railroad Products and Services (RPS), Utility and Industrial Products (UIP), and Koppers Recovery Resources (KRR). More specifically, the facility treats railroad ties, utility poles, and brings back used railroad ties to grind for energy consumption or resale as landscape material. Our products are sold throughout North, Central and South America. Somerville is the first circularly integrated facility within the Koppers network.
