Reinforcement Fabrics are necessary for waterproofing and roofing systems because the waterproofing agents (bitumens) have practically no strength by themselves. Koppers Reinforcement Fabrics provide this extra strength in a manner similar to that of reinforcing rods in concrete. Sometimes called membranes, these fabrics serve as mechanical reinforcement for hot or cold applied bituminous coatings in roofing and waterproofing systems.
