Foundation Waterproofing And Damp-proofing
Foundation Waterproofing And Damp-proofing at the time of construction can eliminate the problems of damaging leaks. Architects and engineers have long realized the advantages of waterproofing compounds in preventing or retarding the passage of water. Reinforcement fabric enables waterproofing compounds to remain stationary while being built-up to the specific quantities desired, thus allowing the depth of material necessary to resist existing hydrostatic pressure.

Glasfab® is available with a coating of asphalt or tar, to be used with the specified bitumen. Possessing one of the highest tensile strengths of any reinforcing membrane currently in use, Glasfab® helps to provide a strong waterproofing system. It secures the waterproofing agent between slabs and on walls under the plaza deck, sealing and protecting them from water and chemical penetration. When a reinforcing membrane is required that is not coated with asphalt or tar, Koppers fills the need with Glascoat®. Like Glasfab®, Glascoat® is a woven glass fabric, but is coated with white or yellow resin.
