- Old roofing systems must be thoroughly dried and secured before product is applied as part of a new roof system.
- Perlite is not acceptable for applications where it will be directly exposed to continuous temperatures of 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius).
- Koppers does not recommend that Perlite Insulation be installed in encapsulated systems. (See General Requirements and Considerations: Insulation. Refer to Paragraph 4.9.5 on Page 9.)
- Where UL labels are required, customer must so order in advance.
| Caution: Apply only as much roof insulation in one day as can be covered by completed roofing system the same day. |
| Do not apply when mopping asphalt temperature exceed 475 degrees Fahrenheit (246 degrees Celsius). |
| Do not use as an underlayment for shingles. In reroofing applications, Koppers requires that all wet areas in the old roof must be cut out and replaced.

| Do not apply flame directly to Koppers roof insulations when installing a modified bitumen system. |
