Leslie Reis Named Environmental
Department Manager for Koppers
July 8, 1999, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — Leslie
H. Reis has joined the headquarters office of Koppers, in Pittsburgh
as manager of the environmental department.
In that role, she will
focus on day-to-day organizational requirements and direct the
firm's many proactive environmental initiatives
designed to provide the highest degree of assurance of continuous
compliance with applicable environmental law and regulations.
A
former captain in the United States Army and graduate of the
United States Military Academy in West Point, with a BS in engineering,
Reis also received an MBA from Golden Gate University in San
Francisco
and is presently completing course work at Duquesne University
for her juris doctorate.
A resident of the city of Pittsburgh's
Brookline section, she is a graduate of Moon Area High School.
Following a ten year career
in the U.S. Army, Reis has been employed in private industry for
the past seven years and most recently
was manager of PB&S Chemical Company's McKeesport plant.
Based
in Pittsburgh, Koppers is a leading integrated producer of carbon
compounds, chemicals, and treated wood products for use
in a variety of markets including the chemical, railroad, utility,
wood preserving, rubber, aluminum, and steel industries. Koppers
operates 21 domestic and 14 Australian and Pacific Rim facilities
and serves European markets through its Tarconord joint venture
in Denmark. |
