Koppers Promotes Nancy Fletcher, Brent Beebe Joins Company
Feb. 29, 2000, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — Nancy
Fletcher has been promoted to inside sales representative for Railroad
Products & Services of Koppers, and Brent E. Beebe has joined
the company as internal audit manager.
Fletcher's primary responsibilities
include marketing of products and services to Class I Railroad
customers as well as customer
service and administration. A resident of Murrysville, she joined
Koppers in 1997 as cash operations analyst in the company's Treasury
Department.
Fletcher is a graduate of Edinboro University
of Pennsylvania, and a member of Pittsburgh Treasury Management
Association and
the Association for Financial Professionals. Prior to Koppers,
she spent six years with Mellon Bank, most recently as a trust
investment manager.
Beebe comes to Koppers after six years of public
accounting. A certified public accountant, he is a graduate of
the University
of Delaware, and resides with his wife, Carol, in Pittsburgh's
Greenfield section. Beebe is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and The International Jugglers
Association.
Koppers is a global integrated producer of carbon
compounds and treated wood products for use in a variety of markets
including
the railroad, aluminum, chemical and steel industries. The company
operates 22 plants in the United States and an additional 13 facilities
in the South Pacific (primarily in Australia and New Zealand).
Koppers also maintains indirect ownership interests in an additional
facility in the United States through its joint venture with KSA
and in five additional facilities overseas (one in Denmark and
four in the United Kingdom) through its Danish joint venture Tarconord
A/S. Additionally, in March 1999, the company entered into a joint
venture agreement with Tangshan Iron & Steel Co. ("TISCO")
to rehabilitate and operate a coal tar distillation facility in
China; the joint venture will be 60 percent owned by Koppers. The
company's stock is shared by a large number of management investors
and by majority equity owner, Saratoga Partners of New York City. |
