In December 2010 Koppers Inc. acquired the Portec Rail Products, Inc. Rail Joints/Track Components Product Line and production facility in Huntington, WV. This acquisition provides industry leading track component product offerings that supplement our core business of wood and concrete ties for the world wide rail transportation industry — and keeps us on our mission of "building better lines from the ground up."
