Portland Terminal
The Northwest Terminal is
located in Multnomah County in the city of Portland, OR. The terminal
is located on approximately 6.4 acres of leased property. Koppers
Company, Inc. began operating this terminal in 1965, as a creosote
distribution terminal. In 1992 Koppers Industries built a melter
system at the terminal facility, to melt the solid imported pencil
pitch, which was then shipped to our customers in liquid form.
In 1999 Koppers Industries built a new 9,000 metric ton capacity
storage tank for storing imported liquid coal tar binder pitch,
along with a 2,400 lineal foot long pipeline from an existing dock,
to this new tank. |
