North Little Rock
Plant
The Koppers plant at North Little Rock, Arkansas was built in 1907. It sits on 157 acres and employs approximately 90 people. Annually, the plant processes and treats over 1.5 million crossties, with the primary customer being the Union Pacific Railroad. Products other than crossties include switch ties, road crossings and framed bridge timbers. Wood products handled at the North Little Rock plant are produced in southern Missouri, western Tennessee, northern Mississippi and many locations throughout the state of Arkansas. Many areas of the plant utilize state of the art technology to achieve high standards in environmental stewardship, safety and productivity.
